Dibleys Sweet Melys is the first scented hybrid which we have produced, making this variety stand out from all others, variously described as 'Lily of the Valley' or lemony wood polish scented! An exceptionally free flowering variety with well over a 100 flowers open all together on a mature plant. The flowers are slightly thicker than most other streptocarpus flowers and open with a pale blue tint which changes to a pink tint as the flower matures. A large habit

Shortlist for Chelsea Plant of the Year competition has been announced.

Streptocarpus 'Harlequin Lace' have large lobelia-blue flowers and Streptocarpus 'Sweet Melys' Nurseries (said to be the first streptocarpus with a strong scent) from Dibley’s Nurseries(GPD10).

We will be attending our 24th Chelsea Flower Show in May, where last year we won our 22nd RHS Gold Medal. All the varieties in our Chelsea A and B Streptocarpus collections will be exhibited at this year’s show and together they make a lovely display of colour. We will also be entering Streptocarpus ’Harlequin Lace’ into the Chelsea Plant of the Year Awards, so please check out our website Chelsea week to see how we get on.

For wonderful fragrance, try the new scented-leaved Pelargoniums on page 6 and for vibrant Summer colour, the Coleus collection (which includes the striking variety Pink Devil) on page 9.

This Summer catalogue contains an extensive list of Streptocarpus, Saintpaulias and Achimenes which are currently available to order. Now is also a good time to visit the nursery, as the plants in the greenhouses are a mass of colour. You can also enjoy a walk around our 10 acre arboretum garden.
